PRESS RELEASE //

The Haus of Luna first opened its doors on October 21st, 2021 to the Vancouver community, quickly becoming a city landmark, as it is the first full-house art installation and immersive experience in the Portland/Vancouver area.

Guests entered a home that mirrored an alternate reality – a place of technicolored kitchens, polka-dotted bathrooms, and monochrome foyers with mirrors and fur-lined walls. The Haus of Luna welcomes the public back again to explore updated rooms and a new vision.

Sol Cejas’ maximalist funhouse is not just a space – it’s an experience. Influenced by classical elements and inspired by surrealist art, The Haus of Luna’s second iteration is an exploration of perspective. Alongside mirrors, reflective surfaces are sprinkled throughout. A shimmering refrigerator squiggles your reflection, an iridescent room hung with glowing Slinkys distorts and expands your perception. Patterns, textures, and neon merge together to delight and confound the viewer’s senses.

This appealing installation bends the boundary between mundane and high art. Sol loves to hear people laugh in surprise at her creations, reveling in how her work appeals to our innate child-like joy. A bathtub cast in gold and featuring a family of ducks enchants our expectations of what a bathroom should be. Window decals obscure the outside landscape and evoke imaginary plains. Each room is designed with a purposeful aesthetic theme, and they’re bound to conjure whimsical fantasies.

Experience Sol Cejas’ fantastical Haus of Luna in Vancouver, WA starting October 20th, 2022 at 5:00pm.
